That TV is their entry level TV, Had one and returned it, was no where close to my older Samsung TV that I wanted to replace. My old one was top of the line 12 years ago and the picture on the AU8000 was not as crisp and colors were not as bright. Had to get the QN90 series to match the picture.

I’ve got a 55” Samsung AU8000 sitting in a box waiting to go above the fireplace upstairs.

I’ve got time to return it if needed. There were 2 other Samsungs the same size and cheaper?

The QN90 does look sweet, but I’d be pushing $2500 for a TV which isn’t worth it to me.

That’s how I feel, 2500 for a TV is no where worth it. We watch TV for about 20 minutes a day. Been very happy with the 2 LG tvs we bought at target on black Friday. I couldn’t tell you what model number but they were originally a little over a grand and we got them half off. The guy we bought the house from left us a 70 inch Samsung and that TV is comparable. But I’m no TV expert.

I do want to know what sound bar to buy though.

My LG always has a reverb/echo delay when using a sound bar. Is that because it runs thru a USB rather than optical? Can’t even use it, drives me nuts.

The technology on TV is advancing and in 5 years your high $$$ TV will be able to be bought for $. To me good audio is more important than the screen. The physic of sound can’t change and your investment in good audio will last longer. A couple of 21″ devastators, JTR Noesis 215RT for left and right, and 215RM for the center would work well for the front stage. If you have the money the RTJ 410 with dual 18Sub would do a little better for the left and right. A guy can dream.

A good sound bar will add a lot to what every TV you decided to get. The stock audio on any TV is just lacking.

Really like our 75 inch Lg. Don’t know much about tvs but we’ve always had good luck with Lg appliances and we like it so far

When using the sound bar you have to set the TV speakers to off, there should be a setting in the sound tab in your TV to tell it your using a sound bar to stop the problem your experiencing.
