Anybody know a good source to get a shipping tube for rod from? I Have a 7 ft 2 Shimano Crucial that isn’t anymore and it needs to go back to the manufacturer…

PVC at Menards, Home Depot, Lowe’s, etc. Buy the cheap end caps, and you’re golden.

buy the lite weight PVC. i think it’s S&D, but it’s half the weight of the Sch40 or 80. we use it for rod cases and long packing on media production.

I had to send a broken St Croix back. I bought 2 – 4′ tubes at ups store and slide them together far enough to fit the broken rod.

I’ve got a few hanging around. You’re welcome to have one if you are heading through Maple Grove.

I ended up taking the rod to Joe’s on a tip from an acquaintance and they shipped it for me for like $22. I doubt I could have gotten that done via UPS or Fed Ex on a 7 foot tube. Thanks for the tips though.
