Need a good shop to fix my 02 60 4 stroke lower unit. In NE metro would be great.

I had to bring my boat back to supreme marine 3x after being told my motor was ready for my trip to Canada last year. Drove 7 hours only to get to the lake and motor wouldn’t go over 5mph. $1800 later and multiple parts that weren’t necessary and I will never recommend anyone waste a dollar using them. Not to mention the customer service from the owner was that of a Walmart employee.

When the voltage regulator on my 90 horse Merc fried the wiring I contacted Dean at SBC in Ramsey and he had a mechanic on his staff that worked on Mercs. Great job at a fair price. Not sure how close to you that is or if they still have a Merc guy but something to check out.

I had good service at Supreme in the past but my recent experience has been lame. They’ve had my old 6hp merc for over 3 weeks at this point. After calling in twice amd being told “another day or two,” I’m losing my patience with them. Found out today that only the owner works on older motors and just gets to them when he can. Seems like info that would be good to share with the customer up front.

Owner can be a bit testy at times, but they’ve always done good work for me.
