I have to try and make this quick trying to get caught back up at work. We just got back Saturday from NE and we had some good hunts. I was lucky enought to call in all 4 birds we shot. I took my first on Easter evening and on Monday I called one in for my buddies second bird with his bow. Also was able to call in one for my dad on Friday morning. We all had some great chances and all had some misses :).

We did see a nice buck still with antlers on April 10th that was really surprising. Birds were really breaking up and going all over the place. Still had a few big groups but sure hearing gobbling all over the place instead of just one location like in the past.

Found one nest with 4 eggs already and a lot of breeding going on. Did see a lot of hens roaming a lone as the hunt went on. Did have about 3 four days of rain but that did not slow us down too much.

It was a first for me this spring in NE to use a decoy the entire hunt all 4 birds taken out of a blind and decoy. Almost all the hunts there I never use a decoy there or blind. Now I’m just glad to be home and have the shotgun in had for next week.

Nice work men. Great pictures too, love seeing those flocks. We just got back. Tough hunt, high winds for the first two days and some pretty scarce and uncooperative birds the rest of the trip. Did slap a tag on one, will share story and pics soon!
