Well just jumping on before I head to Nebraska tomorrow morning for our annual bow hunting trip. Hoping this year is a little better than last couple years after the EHD. This year turkey hunting found a few sheds and saw a few more deer then 2013. It’s just great place to go and try a DIY hunt not looking for any trophy’s but a chance to put a deer in the freezer. Since the EHD we can only take one deer unless you buy another tag at the same price. Our first couple years you got a doe and buck on one tag was nice.
We went down in September and did a little scouting have a couple spots picked out for stands. My tree I have taken a few deer out of had some nice scrapes in Sept. very nice pinch point off a creek so hoping I get a chance. My biggest thing is for my dad to get a deer on this trip not sure how many more he has left in him but going to be a great time no matter if we get a deer or not.
