I purchased the Navionics app on my iPhone and have since purchased an iPad. All the apps I have on the iPhone are shared by the iPad except the Navionics app. Does anyone know why that is? Or if I don’t have some setting configured correctly.

Thanks in advance for your help.

In the settings there should be a restore purchases, push that and if you’re on the same account using the same navionics app then it will apply your purchase. If you have an HD version or are on a different account it won’t work! If you have any other questions let me know

Dang, it looks like I have the HD version on my iPad but the standard version on my iPhone. What now?

The HD version only works on the iPad. They are separate apps because the iPad requires it because of screen size, they function the same. You have to purchase the Nav+ upgrade for each device.

Make sure you download the HD Version on the iPad

So you pay twice for the same app? Can’t I get the standard version on my iPad?

I had the same issue but this is what worked for me. When I searched navionics on my iPad, in the upper left corn it said for iPad only. I switched that to iPhone only and I was able to download the navionics that I had on my iphone

    Nathan,
So you were in the App Store? Or in your settings? Or in the Navionics app?

At least the navonics app is cheap. I paid for lifetime of Precision trolling data $100. I switched from iPhone to Android. Had to pay again. That’s some bs

yes and no it doesnt work properly, the iPad version is designed for the iPad. According to Navionics it costs more to develop an app for the iPad.

You do it in the App Store. The graphics on the iPhone version running on the iPad will not be as nice as the iPad version but it will work.

I bought the IPhone version 5+ years ago and it shows up (by the Cloud)
on newer IPhones, also on IPad Air but in the IPhone version, not HD.
Now on the IPad Pro it’s there, but less than half of the 12.9 Pro screen.

Just deleted the HD version and downloaded the standard version. I can live with it. It isn’t as nice, but it isn’t horrible. I can at least see depth/bottom construe lines. That will help me scout lakes I’d like to fish.

Thanks again for all the help.

I recently upgraded from an iPhone 4 to a 6 and somehow lost my app after phones were synced

My new phone shows the navionics app with no contour lines, says the sounder isn’t on and doesn’t recognize my email or password

    Any suggestions?

On the bottom left corner do you see a Sonar Icon? Click on it and turn on the SonarChart Layer.

Do you have the paid version or the free version?

I had the paid version on my old phone and hoped it would transfer over to my new phone when I synced them

When I click on the sonar icon the lake is shown but no contours or depths are show.
It gives me the option to purchase the app again
May bye my previously purchased app didn’t transfer over to the new phone when I synced the i4 to the i6?

Ok, new issue. I have the paid version, but the update says that it expired? Since when does an app expire? What he heck!

I think the app for phones expire at 1 year after purchase.
I don’t think the web app that I have on my laptop and tablet expires?

I could be wrong on this however.
I just paid for Navionics + for my iphone 6 since my paid app was on my iphone 4 and didn’t transfer and said I had no data to sync when I tried it.

They changed something with an update recently… I have commented about this in another thread and was filibustered about the greatness that is Navionics+ rather than commenting on the actual issue. I used the old app (which I paid for, it wasn’t a free app with a subscription service) on my phone for years without issue, and now it won’t let me download.

I was told to email my concerns in by an employee, I’ve done so… weeks ago… and have not received a response. That same employee also said this to me “I guess most folks figure 9.99 per year isn’t to bad of a deal for what you get on yearly basis, they do have to pay the bills to offer this service.”

    That isn’t what I purchased…

You sure it wasn’t the Nav+ subscription that expired?

Looking at my app on Android, I have a 1 years subscription to Nav+ for $5. Then I have 1 time purchases for the Nav Module and Advanced Map features.

Freemium will be the wave going forward for all apps. One time purchases and/or adds cannot keep up and cover the cost of continual development.

Yes you are right, it is my Navionics+ that has expired. They are offering it for $7.99 US and Canada.

    I am debating.

I watched both the videos that KirtH posted. They were an hour long each, and some very good and information.
