Navionics+ features not compatible with Hook2-5 Splitshot

I am unable to get Sonarchart Live working on my new Hook2-5 Splitshot, it just is not on the menus anywhere. The sonar came with an included Navionics+ microSD card. Per Navionics website, this should be available on the Hook2, but if it is, I can’t find it.

Also, if you upload sonar logs to Navionics for Sonarchart processing, they will not be accepted because they are not permitted to process the “proprietary” files.

This seems like false advertising by both companies to me, unless I am missing something. I have been all through the Hook2 chart menus and cannot find any way to use SonarChart Live. I’ve uploaded logs from my local lake, but they were not accepted by Navionics. The sonar data on the Navionics chip is completely incorrect for this lake, which is 300+ acres and very deep in places, so I had hoped to map the lake, but I find I cannot with this unit. I’ve contacted both companies but have received no reply.

    Anyone else having this conundrum?

OK, I found the sonarchart live setting buried in the menu under “Overlay” as “SCL”. Not exactly intuitive, and could be explained better in the manual. I’ll try it again next time I go to the lake, but that still doesn’t explain why Navionics won’t accept sonar logs from the Hook2.
