“Today will mark the seventh nationwide test of the Emergency Alert System. Six previous tests were conducted over the years between November 2011 and August 2021. This will be the third nationwide test of wireless alerts, and the second nationwide test transmitted to all cellphones, FEMA said in a statement.”
I don’t recall the first cell phone national alert. If this new one is anything like the alert I got a few weeks ago, the “Screeching – full volume” alarm is going to surprise a lot of people!

I work in an office. My phone will be off!
-J.
It’s all good, everyone’s will go off in the office. Then there will be 10 minutes of gossip and by 3pm it will just be a memory
I heard on the radio that the sirens won’t sound at 1:00 but will coincide with the national test at 1:20.

If I’m reading this correctly, this might be for Hennepin county only.
I actually know the guy who’s in charge of the sirens in Hennepin county.
My phone will ring –
Personal self defense siren will go off –
Oh. That’s what it is –
Life goes on –

RING!?
Your phone is going to sound like a cat that stepped on a Christmas ornament!

Or a nail on a board attached to the steps. Im sensing a pattern here?

Somebody missed the memo. I can hear them going off now.
Yeah ours went off at 1 too. Powered the phone off to test the theory that it will still go off.
Life’s about to change for every one who keeps the phone on. Good luck to all
Not too shockingly, the government couldn’t even time it correctly. Mine went off promptly at 1:17pm.
Mine just went off. 2 minutes early. Are we dead. It wasn’t loud or even inconvenient. What should we rally against now?
Mine just went off and it didn’t make noise since I have my phone on vibrate. I thought their system was supposed to override that…
Sometimes you must create your own destiny, instead of simply living out your NATIONWIDE EMERGENCY ALERT TEST.

I thought so too? So far my powered down phone has not make a pepe.

Why would it lol, my dead work phone didn’t go off, should I find that strange?

Just turned phone back on and the alarm went off. Full volume and no way to stop it…..
-J.
The other phones that were on went off at 1:18 and then again at 1:20. WTF?

I had mine off and turned it back on 6 minutes ago and it never went off.
Well that was a wake up. That would be hard to miss on a cell phone.
