Trying to piece together my own adapter cable. I’m pretty handy and have all the parts other than this male connector. Feel silly paying $35 for an adapter cable when all I need is the plug. Plus I’m going to tie in my glow cup and want it done properly rather than hacked together.

Anyone know what these round two pin connectors are usually called? I tried googling “round 2 pin waterproof connector” along with some other variations and couldn’t come up with anything.

    TIA!

Male Spade connectors. You can get the male and female at Fleet Farm or anyplace that sells electrical connectors.

He is looking for the other end, the one he has circled in the photo.

Thanks all for the links! Going to try and find a domestic source that I don’t have to order in bulk.

Maybe Marcum will sell you one over the counter at Versa Electric in Crystal MN. That’s their warranty shop, so maybe you’d get lucky.

I did not. With all the ones I could find, there was no guarantee I was going to get a compatible one without spending $8-15 for one connector first. I figured if I’m going to risk that money and possibly still end up with something incompatible, I may as well watch for a deal on the Marcum cable and just get it right the first time.

Since I often make my own cables and connectors because I like things done right, I just hate the thought of spending $25-30 for a proprietary connector from Marcum. But, time is money and I probably have a few hours into research so it’s time to just bite the bullet and move on.

FYI- Dicks has about the best price currently…$29.99 and free shipping.

Thanks Jamin. Like you, seems I have spent to much time chasing this down. As frustrating as it to spend that much for such a simple cable may as well order it.

This is like the outrageous prices HumminBird charges for the Ethernet cables and then you still need an adapter cable to connect to some units.

That’s close but the male side I need looks to be some kind of grommet mount. It doesn’t have the sealing cable boot like the female end. Which is what I need to properly connect my Helix to the shuttle.

    Appreciate the suggestion though!

I am fairly frustrated by this as well. You can buy the female end with cable for $10, but the male end is $35. Frustrating money grab in my eyes.
