Little late but better late then never! Here is my new 2190. Got it all rigged up, broke in and even added a little fish slim. First I’d like to say thanks to Dean, Cal, Tony and the crew at SBC in Ramsey for the great service ) I had the pleasure of working with their tech during the rigging process and the boat is rigged to perfection!

Rigged pretty similar to my last 2190. For electronics I’m running 2 Gen3 Touch 9’s and a Gen2 Touch 9, Motorguide Xi5 linked to graph, Lowrance Sirius Radio/Weather, Lowrance Link 5 VHF with shorty antenna and stereo. Running the new Wave Pro seat pedestals as well this year after testing them last fall.

Some custom things I did to gain more storage space and rod storage was remove the board in the port side bow and remount my lights to the lid, then in the port rod locker I removed the 2 boards and cut the bottoms. Now I can lay 2 trolling rods along the bottom. yay

(Open up pics to see the whole thing)

    Nice looking boat toast

I also like the Motor Guide bow mount trolling motor. I have heard alot of good things about the Xi5’s.

Thanks! Very happy with the motorguide. The gateway with the HDS is awesome!

That’s a sharp boat Ryan! I can honestly say there has only been a few Skeeters that I wondered what they person was thinking when they designed it lol. But to each their own!!

Corey, I really like what you did with the light storage and rod holster “expansion” so a couple rods can be stored on the bottom. I will be making these updates to my MX for sure. Are those stock Skeeter wheels or did you buy those after-market? I like the look of those wheels. Great looking boat overall!

Thanks! The wheels are the stock aluminum rims from Skeeter. I dismounted them, scuffed them up and painted them! I use Trim Black paint and its very tough. I’ve had it on my jeep for 2 years that I use for hunting and they still look brand new. Buddy who ones a shop has been using it for years.

    Question on the lowrance.

Thinking about the Gen3’s on my MX, what helped make your decision on the gen2? Was the Gen2 just for the front and the rear? and just have Gen3’s at the console?

Thinking about switching to the Xi5 down the road as well.

I have my boat set up so I can move my Ram Mount Gen3 from the dash to either the bow or stern. Now if I know I will be fishing from the front or on a trolling bite I will put the Gen2 in the boat.

I have ran the Gen2 9’s that last 2 years and very happy so I picked up another one this year for my spare.

Chirp and faster processor is nice on the Gen3 but both great units and now with the update the Gen2 has the same new menus as a Gen3.

Thx for the info. I was just thinking about 2 gen3 (9 and 12)units and get a cheap tablet and ram mount with a waterproof case for the 3rd screen for the back of the boat when trolling since wifi is built into the gen3’s.

Anytime! You planning on the 12 at the dash and 9 on the bow? Just make it so you can put the 9 in the back when trolling. Ethernet off of 12 and run a power cable.

If you pull that unit off bow….how does your Xi5 stay networked?

there is the odd chance that I would use the trolling motor on the calmer days and would still like the integration with the Gen3 and tracking and such.

I have mine networked to the dash but you could easily have the bow on the NMEA 2000 network. Just need another T and short cable at the bow. It wouldn’t matter if the bow graph is connected or not as the Xi5 is on the NMEA so as long as any graph is hooked up to it you can run it. Make sense?

Total sense now, I just looked networking the xi5 and the light came on.
