Finally got my hands on 30″ Bullwhip with the split grip handle. Now I guess the hardest thing is sitting here waiting for ice! Just wondering what reel guys are putting on this rod?

Are you going to primarily use it with jigs, or small spoons? If you’re mostly using small jigs a lot of guys are pairing straight line reels like the frabil 261 and 361 or the eagle claw ones. If you want to put a spinning reel on it, it’s tough to beat a Shimano Sedona 500, and if you’re budgeting then a sienna 500 works well too.

I’m pairing mine with an eagle claw inline as soon as my 32″ bullwhip shows up!

I have a Shimano Sienna 500FD on my Bullwhip and Precision Noodle. I have Sedona 500FDs for my Precision and Commander rods. All held in place with the Cold Snap bands. Word of wisdom, try and locate the pliers to apply the bands if you use them, especially on the split grip models. It’s a pain trying to stretch the band by hand.

I ordered mine direct from TUCR’s website. it is just a standard bullwhip so with shipping it was $119.99. totally worth it! that action is unreal!!!
