That’s Tampa Bay looking towards St Petersburg. I work near the Tampa airport. I think I’m going to like this place.

    Pug,
Great view. I think most Minnesotans are jealous of you right about now.

I am working a couple of miles down the road. Weather is awesome for the rest of the week here in Tampa!

Not looking for envy or rubbing it in to my friends. I thought it was a cool view and a good way to let everyone know come September I’ll be living in the Tampa area.

I already know there are things I am not going to like such as housing prices and traffic.

But it opens up my inshore fishing opportunities. The trade off is no more pond to walk to.

In the winter time, head down to Apollo Beach and shore fish around the mouth of the discharge. It’s an awesome spot that I fished quite a bit. It’s no secret, so it can get a little crowded on weekends.

Are you on the Florida sportsman forum? Sounds like some advice I got on there. I’d like Apollo Beach except it is on the east side of the bay making it a long trip to the coast Anna Maria or St Pete.

I am not. I’m long out of FL and don’t plan on visiting again. Nice weather, goofy people. It’s about an hour to both areas down 75. Not a bad trade off since tourists don’t really hang around that area. South side of the Tampa metro has some really nice areas. My brother lived over by the Target in Riverview. It’s a really nice area with all sorts of shops around, just not close to the coast. I don’t think you’ll want to be anywhere near Clearwater/St. Pete once summer comes around…Unless you like bikini watching, then get yourself a house on the north side of clearwater beach…

I was in early at 8. Everyone else is on Tampa Time LOL

I just went down to Cypress Point to smell some salty air before I leave because I haven’t gone to the water all week.

One of my coworkers named Mike loves to fish. We are becoming fast friends. He’s a lung cancer survivor of 16 or 26 years, I forget the actual number. Probably because I know any number over one is amazing.

Some certain person didn’t send you some of that special stink bait recently for you to try out down there.
That would scare everyone away also smash

Lived just south and west of the airport in the town n country area for about 6 years. It is definitely a melting pot of people down there. It is nice though and there’s plenty to do. Inshore fishing is awesome. Also agree about Apollo beach during winter. Don’t worry, there’s PLENTY of ponds with big bass all over down there, just gotta do some research on your maps with satellite view and maybe do a little trespassing… coffee
