Broke some new ground. Unfortunately our 3-point tractor broke down prior to me getting here. we made it work anyways and I thought it turned out pretty good. Just need rain now.

Boy the sight of that big ol Versatile brings back memories. Glad to see there’s still some of those around. Back in the day, if you were pulling with a Versatile or a Stiger, you were the schizzle.

Nice looking plot. Many I envy you guys that have a) open ground and b) that black soil with no rocks. You lucky buggers. My father and I worked our buttskies off to carve out a quarter acre and we got enough rock off of it to build a quarter mile of stone wall.

Haha. Ya, there are some stones up in that country you got your land on.

DT, you’ll have to send some more pics this fall after the plot gets going.

They were supposed to get rain last night but did not. The next chance is Sunday. On our way out Thursday morning I stopped at the stand to spray foam a couple areas to stop the Flies. I noticed that there was a flock of 10 crows sitting in a tree and they would fly down to my plot and eat my seed. I did leave some extra seed there in case we don’t get rain so my buddy can plant some extra right before the next train.

Sweet plot. Hopefully a little moisture and it will take off.
