Does anybody have an accurate number for the tongue weight of a single axle trailered Skeeter MX1825?

If the wheels are adjusted right your suppose to be 10% of the total weight I was told. So if your rig weights 2500lbs you should have 250lbs tongue weight. Correct me if I am wrong but that’s what I remember.

I’d like to know the same thing. Trailer math will give you an idea of what it should be but only a scale will tell what the tongue weight actually is. On my aluminum Lowe I used a bathroom scale to measure it but I think my MX with a tandem trailer will exceed the scales limit. I also took my Lowe to a CAT scale and weighed both the truck/trailer and then the trailer alone. The tongue weight matched what the bathroom scale showed. One of these days I’ll get around to taking the MX back to the CAT scale but that’s on the way to the lake and my boat is always loaded.

    Joe,
Keep in mind that a couple of factors will affect this number.

If someone has a 100#+ kicker on the transom, it acts as a counterweight, and will reduce the tongue weight.

Conversely, if there is a bow-mount, and 2-3 batteries forward of the axle, there would be an increase.

just looking for a close range, are we talking 200 lbs or 600 lbs?

for arguments sake, lets say no kicker but the standard trolling motor with 3 batteries and the typical things you load in a boat.

I have looked for a # to report in on this but to my knowledge that is not a published # anywhere….. your trailer was made by ez loader then.

I will reach out to a few sources…. but speculating in the 4-500 pound range.

    reply from EZ loader

there is not an exact # but tongue weight should be plus or minus 400 pounds.
