MX1825 – Best Trolling Motor Shaft Length

    I don’t think it can be too long when it’s windy.

    My bet is that they are in some serious shallow water for this shot. Typically all MX1825 come with a 60″ shaft

    I would get a 60″ I’m sure they were in shallow water so they had the shaft raised up. I’ve never had a trolling motor shaft that was too long, but definitely had a 54″ shaft that I wish was a 60″. It mainly just comes in handy when its windy.

    I have a 60. You can always raise it up if you need to, but you can only drop it so far if it is too short……

    60 would be the minimum I think. Fishing much on large bodies of water and any wind kicks up some waves. 60 might not be long enough. I know my 60 has come out of the water several times.
