Just curious if anyone has a copy they would be willing to sell? Have been looking for one for a little while now, but I haven’t asked here yet

I have a copy but don’t want to sell it. You can read it but I’d want it back. I had another read it once, I think he photo copied it but I’m not sure of that. jester

I may have to take you up on that. Where are you located? Haha I don’t think I could do that out of respect to Dick and karma. I would have to take some notes along the way

What is the deal with this book ? A quick Google shows it as a pretty sought after book. I have no knowledge of it or the author ? Obviously must of been a successful musky angler

Dick Pearson is one of if not the best Muskie angler on LOTW. Certainly the most well known.

Not just LOTW but virtually all of the NW Ontario muskie lakes. The book is also both technical and entertaining. He breaks down how to approach each type of lake and also has stories of going into these lakes blind back in the day in small boats with a sh!tty paper map and compass.

Actually, I think a complete re-print is in the works. I bet Thorne Bros will be selling them as a side note.

Yes, I have one, but it’s not for sale.

Love it when things are hard to get. Sold my copy 2 years ago for $100. Now I can buy a copy for retail if I want.

i’ve got a couple copies, it’s a great read for sure. LotW has seen some pretty radical changes since that book was written with the devastation to the cabbage beds and warming water temps, but the underlying principles still apply, and the trout water stuff remains spot on. i’m mildly aggravated that i lent out my copy of the video dvd, never got it back, and can’t remember who.

it was a bucket list item to be able to spend time fishing with Dick and visit some of his favorite spots. he is as generous of a human being as you could ever hope to meet. and fwiw, he’s been saying that he’s going to do an updated version for 15 years. i trust his intent, but will wait for a copy in hand before i get too excited…

Try to hold your excitement, but the updated version is done, and you will be able to order it off his website in the next few days ( mom & pop shop, so don’t expect next day shipping )

He plans on dropping off some for Thorne Bros also, but unsure when that will be, probably next week around the 4th

I’ll keep trying to hold my excitement.
that’s not the updated version he’s been threatening to write for 15 years, just a reprint of the original. Still cool to be able to get it, but not new.
