I’m in the Market for a new Muskie Reel. I had kind of made up my mind on a Shimano TranX in the 400 size. Needless to say those things are hard to find in stock anywhere to check out ( Like a lot of things these days ) A new player has come into play in the form of the new Daiwa Prorex Reel. Does anyone here have any experience with either or both of these reels. To Make matters worse I need one in a LH model. Thorne Brothers does have the Daiwa in stock in the LH model and I’m heading there after work to check it out. I’ve never been a big Daiwa fan but I hear they have really came around in the last few years. I think I can still find the TranX available some place online, so if its a better reel I’m willing to wait to get it. The cost of both of the reels is about the same so that’s a wash. Just would like opinions from those who have their hands on these reels.
