OK so, at my local Gander Outdoors, they have 6’6″ and 6’9″ medium and medium light spinning rods on sale. They are usually a $175 rod and are $95 off right now. (yes, $95 off) I believe there’s six left. They seem really nice but I called 13 Fishing and they told me that the MUSE Golds will be discontinued and that’s probably why they are going for so cheap.
Any feedback on if I should pull the trigger…

Why not? At half off, if they feel good to you and its the length and action your looking for not a bad deal. Heck all the rods I have in my boat they do not make anymore.
Hope you get some good feedback on the rod-I can tell you this and others here will agree the fact that it is being discontinued probably has nothing at all to do with the quality or performance of the product. Fact if you find a lure rod, anything that works well buy extra now-A great plastic? Buy several packs. You might think you don’t have to stock up because the thing is a crazy good fish catcher-does’nt matter they will discontinue it without warning. With this rod the quality might be too good and production costs are killing them. Good luck
My vertical jig rod. Amazing feel. I sought thru all the rods at Joe’s one day and that felt the best and what I was looking for in action for the presentation. Paired it with a tatula and it’s a feather.
That price is a steal.
Thanks all! Yea, I just thought it was strange how it was $95 off but I guess you come across great deals here and there and get lucky every once in awhile.
