Generally, I think most would agree that you should probably not plant corn or beans before the 15th of March. If you can wait that long.

Maybe you should take up a new hobby to pass the time? Stamp collecting?

    That was a good one.

The new disc I got last year doesn’t have a single grease fitting on it. All sealed bearing. Will be interested to see how this works out in the long run.

I don’t really have any mowing to do, but man, oh man, is it time get the sprayer going as soon as everything greens up. I’ve got an older clover plot with a lot of grass that needs to get gone. Then I’ve got to spray down the whole north plot with gly twice to get it all killed before it’s time to disc. I’m going to be burning way more fuel on the ATV with the spray rig than I’m going to use in the tractor for the early season anyway.

Also I should really get new tires on my tractor, but I fear that this would just encourage my father to take it where he shouldn’t. He’s already had 2 close calls with getting stuck, I keep telling him that we don’t have anything heavy enough to pull that thing out and if he really buries it, it’s gonna sit until it dries out.

The weather this weekend looks perfect for picking rock. Man I wish I had some free time to come and help you whistling

I need to get to the farm soon and get the corn mowed. The one problem with planting corn is getting all the stalks ground up into the dirt. That might be next weekends project, and then a little shed hunting if most of the snow is gone in the woods.
