Oh how I love moving flame

Moving from Orlando to Palmetto closer to salt. I cannot wait for Sunday, even though I know there will be more work to be done.

Keep the faith, I also had enough of moving when younger and the moving the kids. Hopefully you have some help and all goes smooth. A cold cocktail with a decent steak always works as a reward for a job well done. waytogo

Pack the booze last so it’s accessible upon arrival. And good luck!

    Good tips! grin

I’m “working” today while the ladies finish the packing. It’s a weird feeling dreading and being excited at the same time.

I am loading with my wife’s hairdresser’s boyfriend. I hope he has a better sense of arranging. I was encouraged when they grabbed some stuff from us they wanted and he seemed very particular about how to fit it the best way.

Tomorrow is the drive. We’ll take our time as the wife will be following behind me and it is me that usually drives on the long trips. Hopefully we don’t run into one of those downpours.

Once we get there we have hired movers who are college aged kids. So once the drive is done, I’ll feel a lot better.

Let’s hope they are not too hung over from the night before and ding all your walls. Moving sucks. I sure it will go smooth and you will be unpacked in no time.

I have 1 person helping me load.

We are currently the n a 1 hour rain delay. I bet we have gotten 2-4 inches already.

    That’s a patio, not a pool.

It’s starting to look like I’ll have to make another trip with a smaller truck. Plus another trip to clean and pickup mom’s car.

    More sympathy please.

My commute ain’t too shabby. This is one of the reasons I wanted this house. She wanted to live in Bradenton, which would have added another 10-20 minutes to my commute. This is a nice compromise. It’s 40+ miles, but 45-60 minutes only because the house and job are right off I-275. That’s pretty good considering how crappy the traffic is here.

Not to mention about 1/2 my trip is over water. It makes the commute go faster.

Looks like you will have a nice view on your commute. But wont that make going to work worse watching people fish while you drive to work. Almost every day it makes me want to call in sick seeing a local fish when I drive by that lake to work.

Boy no kidding. Every morning just before 6 when I get off I-35 and head up the 21st Ave ramp here in Duluth, all of the charter boats are heading out towards the trolling grounds bawling Makes me want to turn around and go get the boat in a hurry.

It’s tough seeing people on the Skyway piers fishing. The pier is what’s left of the old bridge after it collapsed, so you actually drive out, park and fish right in your parking spot. It reminds me of some old flathead spots.
