My son and I, along with a friend, are going to attempt to move a boat lift this weekend. None of us have any experience with this. We will have access to a double snowmobile trailer. This lift has a canopy….is it OK to leave that frame on?
Also any advice on loading, securing it, transporting it is certainly appreciated.
Will be moving it approx. 25 miles….mostly rural.

Tie it down good and remember to yank on the straps a few times and say something like “that ain’t going anywhere” before setting off. Watch out for overhead stuff as you will be plenty high for some trees and such. I would not trailer one with the canvas on the frame but the frame itself should be fine. Also remember clearance to the truck for turning if it is awkwardly loaded.
