    Ram mount or a second cradle for the head unit. Garmin’s design for the cradle is awesome and makes switching a breeze if you buy a second cradle, which is cheap.

    The cradle system is a great idea.
    In the second boat, you’d still have to
    have the power cables connected to your cradle
    to power up unit in
    second boat. That would be all you need for
    the mapping with the built in GPS maps.
    Sonar and imaging would need a transducer too.
