I was thinking about mounting it on a flat surface that is right behind the motor but facing up because I have a flat bump out above my water intake’s and my drain tube

I have a 2011 Ranger620vs and they mounted my Lowrance structure and sidescan transducer on the back of the step down hull just to the starboard side of the motor.

I may have sent this twice but if I’m mount mine that way the side scan will hit the motor if my motor is trimmed all the way down

My lowrance si transducer is mounted flat on the step, my bird si is on the jack plate, I would mount it flat on the step if possible.

I plan on taking a picture of my Side Image Transducer mounted in the step area on my Ranger. I owe another guy on a different thread the same picture. Here is a sketch of how I mounted it for now.

I have mine mounted like Joe’s. I believe most dealers would mount it this way.

Perfect that’s exactly what I was thinking about. Did you have any issues with cavitation at all from the fact that the bottom step is below that? but that’s what I was thinking the only problem is I may have to spacerblock mine down so the cord isn’t bent over.

The picture is sideways for some reason. My cable runs down the middle of my jack plate and goes to the transducer under the step. In the menu of my Lowrance I can change which direction the transducer reads on my graph/ The way they mounted it with the cable to the back, made it read left as right and right as left. I could change this to the correct direction in my menu.
