Mounting kicker motor

    Just purchased a 2012 WX1900. Looking at adding a kicker to the rig. The boat has never had one, do I need to add something to the transom before I mount the kicker? A plate or something to protect the glass? Looking for a 9.9 four stroke. If anyone has one for sale let me know.

    Mine is mounted right to the transom.
