Mounting 9″ Hds Units

I have a Alumacraft Magnum 165 tiller. I’m wanting to mount two HDS units in my console area but not sure if it’s going to be possible. Asking for suggestions or ideas on how I could possibly do this. Here are a couple photos of my console with one unit installed.

I’m thinking about a movable arm mount of some kind will be needed, so I can swivel them out or up someway. It would be nice to move them back into the opening so I could close the doors.

I did the same as PmB. I have a 9″ and a 10″ both on RAM mounts. I am able to move them so they don’t get in the way of fishing.

Are you able to put them into the compartment and close the cover with that setup? The OP wants to be able to do that as indicated in his post.

Nope. Not sure if it’s possible w the older style tiller consoles. Might have to be some type of custom slide out deal.

My boat is a 1660 ProV and I have to take them off in order to stow them in the compartment. It is a mess of cables inside along with my Livescope stuff but it works for me.

Well, I’m working on fabricating a lift up platform for my units.
Here are a couple photos. I think it will work but I have one snag and not sure how to solve it.
Looking for some kind of latch that would hold the horizontal portion from folding down. Any ideas or suggestions ?
