Received an email from Motorguide last week about a patch (update) that is supposed to take care of some of the issues that users have had with the Xi Gateway issues with Lowrance units.
Has anyone had a chance to do this yet? How was the install? Can you tell a difference in performance?
Did the upgrade, did not try it yet. As soon as I can make it out I will report the good,bad, or the ugly. Install was pretty painless, under 10 minutes. 07 SWUP. Update and instructions found on Motorguide website. Be sure to take survey monkey to determine if your motor is suitable for the upgrade.
