What do most of you guys use for a motor cover when traveling? factory? Canvas craft? Others?

When I trailer I use the factory cover and no motor cover.

I purchased the yamaha brand motor cover for our F70, fits perfectly and looks great, The F300 model is around $110 EBAY

Personally I would go with the factory Yamaha motor cover or no cover at all.

I had my last boat for 10 years. I never covered the motor and it looked as good as new when I sold it.

I never cover. Lots a wax. Most covers move as you travel at 60 or more mph. Rubs the paint off on anything I have ever seen.

i’ve owned a few Yamaha brand covers, the larger ones are awesome.

the one for my T9.9 kicker is horrible, and i recommend against buying it. the fit is loose and there doesn’t seem to be any good way to snug it down. it will definitely flap at highway speeds and i’d worry about micro-scratches on the cowling over time.

the Yamaha brand covers for the F150 and F200 fit more snugly than any aftermarket ones i’ve seen, and the inside is nicely lined with a soft material. there’s no moving or chafing. for the F150 on my last boat, i used the cover for every long trip for 4 years and that motor still looked brand new. i bought one for the F200 on my new boat this spring and it fits that motor equally well. i love the fact that i don’t have to try and get bugs off the front of the motor cowling…
