Lynx winter peas from Canada. Tremendously sweet and hardy.

If you’re interested, I have 3 bags of them left in stock. PM me.

What is your goal with peas? There are several reasons to plant them. Cover crop, N fixation, maximum mass/protein, or actual pea production?

I used them in a late summer planted grain mix of oats, rye, and peas to provide additional and easy to grow protein. It is not easy to provide a lot of protein in a late summer planted crop and double bonus that they fix some nitrogen. This late summer planting does not allow for mature harvestable peas, but pods do form.

The deer obviously love them as they will search and destroy them in a mixed field of peas and grain. After October 15, it is hard to find a pea plant.

The downside to peas is that they require multiple pass planting as they do not flow readily through a broadcast spreader as part of a grain mix.
