Pine Lake off the Arrowhead Trail. 500 ft bluffs along the north shore.

I grew up on Vermilion and sledded across all of Voyageur many times. I always slowed down when we would head to Ely and drive across Burntside Lake. All of the sheer cliffs made it breath taking!

Rainy, Superior, and inland lakes in the Tofte area. In central MN, Big Watab.

Being a SW Wisconsin guy I haven’t been on as many as most of you fellow IDO guys but Rainy is gorgeous. Usually the most beautiful lake is the one that I have time to have the boat at the moment.

A few years back, National Geographic listed their ten most beautiful lakes in the WORLD, and Woman Lake made that list. Woman Lake is located between Longville and Hackensack.

All lists are subjective to who is creating the lists. Some think looking at Mansions or Big Homes on lakes make them beautiful lakes. Some think bikini clad 20 somethings make for beautiful lakes. Others think remoteness and the lack of homes and people make for a beautiful lake.

    To each their own. grin
