mossberg 535

hi just looking for reviews on the mossberg 535 ats turkey deer combo thinking of buying this gun from gander mountain…… unfortunately that,s the only place I can find it. thanks for your help

Where are you located? Bill’s gun shop has them in their online store for $473.60 right now. Free shipping and transfer fee if picked up at one of their 6 stores (Robbinsdale, Hudson, Circle Pines, Fargo, Moorhead and Brainerd). No, I am not affiliated with them, I just know their prices are always good.

I usually check Bud’s Gun Shop online and also Reeds, which is Norther Firearms on Gunbroker.

Just as a note about the 535 and other short barrel turkey guns. I believe Mossberg has a 22-inch barrel version of this gun. With that short of a barrel and with a ported turkey choke, the muzzle blast directed sideways can be dangerous and the noise will be absolutely deafening!

Take great care at the range and when hunting that you don’t shoot with anyone beside you with these short barrel guns and ported chokes. I’ve been sandblasted at the gun club several times by people with ported or muzzle braked guns and obviously, in hunting there is more risk because not everyone wears ear protection while hunting.

Needless to say, I’m not a fan of super short barrels for hunting shotguns.

I am not a super fan of the 535, you could build a old 870 for a little more money and end up with a better gun.
