On the shade side of the roof at cabin have a lot of moss growing. What can I spray on it to kill moss and not hurt shingles?

Get two strands of copper wire uninsulated and staple both wires to each side of roof at the ridge. Copper sulfate will kill the moss and keep it from growing, its an old roofers trick.

I have had great luck spraying a mixture of bleach and water on my cabin roof to eliminate and keep moss away. I cant remember the mixture but you can easily find it searching online. I think it’s about 30% bleach. I use a pump up lawn sprayer. There are also products you can buy and apply the same way but bleach is much cheaper, always on hand at my house and it works great. I was just inspecting my roof for moss yesterday and its clean. You just dont want to use too strong a mixture. That can be bad.

    Spray And Forget http://www.homedepot.com/s/spray%2520and%2520forget?NCNI-5

This works great for me. I use it on the roof and landscape blocks, cedar fence and stones. It will kill the moss and mold then over the summer the rain will clean off the shingles. One spraying and a year of rain and my roof is clean of mold and moss.

Anything with Zinc in it will work well. If you start looking at roofs you will notice that there is never and black algae or moss below a galvanized roof flatting. Any roofing warehouse like ABC supply, united products or roof depot will have these products.
