If they can design and mass produce diapers for a baby that catches dang near every drop of pee/crap, why in the heck do elderly diapers leak so freaking much. Insane that I need a rug doctor kept in the living room full of soap/water, 4 changes of clothes for the ole’ boy per day, and I’m going broke on laundry detergent and cleaning supplies.

Im beginning to think this getting old crap is a conspiracy for corporations to suck more money out of us flame

As someone on the other end of this spectrum with kids recently out of diapers, and the youngest still in pull ups at night, this statement couldn’t be further from the truth. I think it’s the same issue, only so much carrying capacity. One benefit is our washing machine is also constantly on, and I heard if you don’t use it you lose it or something like that. And I’ve become quite adept at flipping a bed over like a Vegas housekeeper. rotflol jester rotflol jester

Our oldest dog wears diapers. Not something I ever imagined doing 24/7 for a dog. But at least they work well. Except when she sneaks outside and loads them up!

As a guy with a kid under 1 in diapers, they definitely are not that great. Much like bigwerm we are constantly washing dirty clothes and bedding and sleep sacks. The only positive, is no matter crappy that little girl can get, she is always smiley even when she craps water

We were finalizing all the finance work on our 2003 Trailblazer in the business office and my wife was holding our 1 year old on her shoulders and the diaper leaked and literal crap went all down her back. They gave her a new Murphy Chevrolet T-shirt to seal the deal LOL.

Randy have you tried different brands? Can double them up for overnights too.

Not long ago I had 3 kids in diapers at the same time… so unfortunately i considered myself a bit of an expert in the diaper department lol. Honestly we never had many issues with leaking or blowouts as long we used good diapers. Target or Walmart house brand were trash and the couple times we tried them and had constant leakage. Huggies or costco brand were both solid

Man Randy – I feel for you. My sisters and I are caring for an aging parent as well although not to that extent. Not presuming tough financial circumstances, but is there any assistance available for additional care options to come in for your dad? VA? Even if temporary it would be worth it. I don’t think I’d be telling you anything you don’t already know, but this will wear you down to a nub.
