I have a crab apple tree next to the patio. Enjoying my weekend morning coffee when this guy comes in for a little breakfast. Thankfully my GSP is still sleeping or the whole house would be awake

I wasnt fast enough this morning to get a picture of a bobcat stalking a rooster pheasant that was standing on branch in a woodpile next to our house.
it amazes me how far a bobcat can jump trying to catch a bird midflight !!
Very cool! Last spring, we had a rooster strutting around our yard for a few days. It drove our Spinone nuts.

One of my buddies had a rooster near his chickens for a while last year. Drove the Labs in the kennel nuts, seemed to attract the neighbors free-range tom cat. Some predator control ensued.
That picture is awesome. I wish I lived in the woods more, love waking up like that.
