President-elect Trump has promised to impose tariffs of 25 percent on all imports from Canada and Mexico and an additional 10 percent tariff on all imports from China when he takes office. If imposed permanently, we estimate these tariffs would generate $1.2 trillion in tax revenue from 2025 through 2034 on a conventional basis. In the long run, we estimate the tariffs would reduce GDP by 0.4 percent and employment by 344,900 jobs. Our estimates do not capture the effects of retaliation, nor the additional harms that would stem from starting a global trade war.

    Sounds serious…

It is serious , yet will trump follow through with the tariffs ? He has flip flopped alot since he has been on this planet ! I’m still waiting for his roll out of the greatest bestest health care plan ever ? The likes of no one has ever seen before LOL

    Yep, brothers is the grizzly.

We aren’t 100% positive but thinking the clutch break got hot. Nephew started smelling like rubber burning, took off the seat and there was fire. As he was headed back to the cabin, which was maybe 150 yards it blew, the percussion actually almost knocked him over.

Fortunately it was close to the cabin, on a trail right by a creek with the little lake on the west a ND cabin lake on the right with not much for trees around.

Deer river fire dept, Itasca County sheriff responded and they also had a helicopter at the ready but called that off. Fire depth used every gallon of water they had to wet the area down.

That machine was in for 3 recalls, started fuel pump andv1 other thing. Insurance treated us right for the most part.

    FYI –
I burnt up a Grizzly a few years back. doah
-20 +/- and it didn’t start. Put some charcoal under it, checking it every 1/2 hour or so. After a couple hours I look out the window and see a cloud of smoke.
    No good. cry

Those were not known to be good motors. That’s why they bailed on them. I’ve heard of lots of that same story.

With the economy going great and unemployment low, I still can’t figure out why some of these companies are struggling so much?

They are not struggling. They are comparing to record profits of Covid. At least that was what we were doing. We were trying to grow off an inflated number.
Thanks for the well wishes guys. Going to take the holidays off and spend quality time with the family and figure out this next chapter.

So sorry to hear that Rip!

I think so many companies did this after Covid and now are either laying people off or in a hiring freeze.

I feel if you were hired to one of these companies during covid, it was almost expected.

I wasn’t hired during Covid. Been with the company 8 years. Restructure/Reorg.
Much like Cargill and other places.
We just happen to have record profits during Covid and now a return to normalcy but growth expectations were being set off record numbers is all I was trying to say. We have been in a hiring freeze for almost 2 years. I was 1 of 5 people/states out of 50 that actually hit this years target.

Just remember to always fend for your self over a company, you are just a number that can be replaced

Um none. Had an email sent from HR and a manger about having a zoom call in an hour. My own boss found out an hour before. Called me in tears. All 4 people I hired during that time stayed.
Basically just slashed several layers of folks without talking to others about who to keep and who to let go.
Can’t look back just have to move forward.
