If I get pulled over by a cop he or she should be older, my boss, have a guy tuning my furnace who looks like he is 18 (seems to know his stuff) guy who made my custom noodle did a great job, but he is younger than me-if someone knows more than me I want that person to be older than me-is that too much to ask?!

It felt odd the first time I saw a doc that was younger than I.

Most service techs went to school for it do I’m good with it. Besides most people older than me are retired. doah I don’t have much choice in most being younger shock

I changed doctors a few years ago, went with a younger woman doc so that I have the same doc until I kick.

Did the same thing here, switched to a younger male doctor that will be my primary. Hopefully we have a lasting relationship for the rest of my years. My other primary Doctor of 25 years recently retired.

Just got checked out on the ice today by a DNR agent who is probably a third my age. At least he was understanding when it took me 5 minutes to figure out what folder in my phone, had my digital fishing lisc. in it.

I help out at three small country cemeteries. I know I’m kind of old but not really old. Use to be almost all people I buried were older than me. Now only half. Its scary!

I go through this often. My oldest son turns 13 today. Holy hell, where did those years go? I turn 43 in about a month, and I don’t think of myself as old, or even middle-aged. But it sneaks into your life that I’m (hopefully) at least half-way to retirement and most of the people out there that I interact with professionally or even in day-to-day life are younger than me. The biggest one for me is watching professional sports. I still picture myself as the same age as them – or even younger. But in all reality I’m at least twice as old as some of them.

At my age the doctors that are older than me are retired or dead. Now I look for Docs that are young enough that they won’t retire before I die.

Would you let a younger female doctor give you a COVID injection?

Prostate exam from a female doc is better than one from a doc who played football at the U of M. Unfortunately, I know of what I write.

I enjoy getting older in many respects, but it’s also flattering once in awhile to know I’m not super old yet…

Going thru the mall with the oldest daughter, 17yrs old, kiosk lady with a hair straightener grabs her and starts doing her pitch. Im laughing inside bc the kid hasn’t learned how to just say no in those situations yet. Either way figured I’d let the sales lady have her fun with her, super cute so why not. I walk a lil away playing on the phone and I hear my daughter go “EW, thats my dad!”. Apparently I got the boyfriend tag, hilarious 😂😂

Needless to say the saleslady got paid that evening. Reaction from the kiddo was priceless.

While I agree it will be weird someday to have a boss or doctor who are older than I am, I just keep reminding myself – age is just a number!

I suppose it helps that I don’t really look my age, so that throws people off. A few years ago the servers at Red Lobster said I’ll probably stop wanting them to sing for me for my birthday once I hit 30… I was celebrating my 35th that year. 😂 🤷‍♀️

One thing that gets me though – I am now older than the PARENTS were on the TV shows I grew up watching… That can’t be right.

I’ve turned the corner where there are fewer days ahead than behind. There better be some younger people in the mix to take the reins or the future isn’t going to look very good.

    S. doctors don’t give injections. I like who ever has to come at me with a needle to be all business-I hate needles, so skip the chit chat and give it to me. Gender don’t get me started there.
‘Age is just a number’ Not for me. Ok but ponder this: if you did not know your age how old would you guess yourself to be?

I hired a new employee last week who was born in 2002. That made me feel kinda old! Not only was she not alive during the Halloween Blizzard of 1991, she wasn’t even alive during Y2K!!

I also hired a new supervisor for one of our group homes last fall and thought hey, this guy is pretty cute… Yep, I’m 15 years older than he is. doah
