My dad and my 10yo will be heading to the pond on Monday. We’re all really excited. We were there for the first time two years ago and had a blast. We put in at Myr Mar and am thinking we’ll do the same on Monday. We’ll likely fish the flats for eyes and try the shallows a bit for smallies. We’ll only be able to fish for about 5 hours in the middle of the day, so hopefully the fish cooperate.
Are the fish still biting like crazy?
The bite was still strong on the 4th. Early was better on the flats
Well, we didn’t fair too well. Didn’t get fishing till 9:30, launched from Myr Mar and there was a South wind…tough boat control. Fished Myr Mar and matton flats with no luck. Hardly marked any fish. Wanted to run further south but the waves were really hard on my boatmates. We did scratch a couple of fish off flicker shads on Myr Mar reef in about 15 feet.
