Monday is National S’mores Day! In honor of this much needed celebration of gooey deliciousness, I plan on making this s’mores party ring in lieu of traditional s’mores:

    S’mores Party Ring
Turn everyone’s favorite summertime treat into an ooey gooey party ring. All you need are a few basics and a lot of napkins to make and enjoy this yummy dessert. Don’t forget a tall glass of milk to serve with it!

    Ingredients
1 (8 count) tube Pillsbury Grands crescent dinner rolls
1 1/2 cups Golden Grahams cereal (coarsely crushed)
    1 cup chocolate chips
    8 large marshmallows
    3/4 cup hot fudge sauce
1/2 cup mini marshmallows (for serving, if desired)
Golden Grahams cereal (for serving, if desired)

    Directions
•Preheat oven to 375ºF. Open Pillsbury crescent rolls, unroll and separate individual triangles.
•Fill the large end of each triangle with 2 tablespoons chocolate chips, 2 tablespoons crushed Golden Grahams, and 1 large marshmallow. Fold the ends of the triangle in to the center, and roll the crescent around the marshmallow, completely covering the marshmallow and pinching the edges together to seal completely. Place on a lightly greased round baking stone. Repeat with remaining triangles.
•Bake for 12-17 minutes, or until the crescents turn a medium golden brown. Remove from the oven and drizzle with hot fudge sauce. Sprinkle with mini marshmallows and Golden Grahams cereal. Serve with extra hot fudge for dipping, if desired.

Sounds good. Sounds sweet enough to make teeth fall out too.

BK will likely modify this recipe to use Spam in the dough and chocolate syrup and golden grams as the coating. I’d add a jalapeno to the spam to help kill the dead animal taste but BK would scoff at that idea. Otherwise this sounds like a super good treat.

Hey now, what dead animal taste!? Oooh, Tom, you just may be onto something here… Okay brace yourselves: we could use sliced Spam, crescent rolls, cheese rather than chocolate, and sprinkle with french’s fried onions! That actually sounds fabulous!! And no, I haven’t been putting any whiskey in my coffee today. mrgreen

You guys and that fabricated food made from floor sweepings. Sheesh. What kind of whiskey aren’t you drinking then?

On the original Smore one can replace the Graham cracker with a cinnamon Graham, quite delicious.

Or if you really want a flavor explosion you replace with Fudge Stripes. Yummy

I saw this recipe for S’mores dip. It looks good but I haven’t tried it.

    S’mores Dip

    Yield: 4 to 6 servings

    S’mores Dip

    Ingredients

    1/2 tablespoon butter
1 1/2 cups chocolate chips (semi-sweet, milk chocolate, or a combo)
    15 jumbo marshmallows, halved
    Graham cracker squares

    Directions

Adjust rack to center position of oven and place 8-inch cast iron skillet on rack. Preheat oven to 450°F with skillet inside. Once oven is preheated, use a pot holder to remove hot skillet from the oven. Place pat of butter in the skillet and use a pot holder to hold the handle and swirl the skillet so that the melted butter coats the bottom and sides. Pour chocolate chips in an even layer into the bottom of the skillet. Taking care not to burn fingers on the sides of the skillet, arrange marshmallow halves over the surface of the chocolate chips, covering the chocolate completely. Bake for 5 to 7 minutes or until marshmallows are toasted to your preference (watch closely!). Use an oven mitt to remove the skillet from the oven and allow to rest for 5 minutes. Serve immediately with graham cracker squares or sticks…but be careful, because the dip (and the skillet) will be very hot!

Friends and I have tried this one and it’s delicious! We modified it by adding Reese’s Peanut Butter Cups in there too. We used graham crackers and animal crackers to dip. It was very chocolatey and gooey. Highly recommended! waytogo

I saw this post and just knew it had to be Sharon…

And Tom, if you’re going to drink Whisky you can’t do much better than The Famous Grouse. Or maybe Knob Creek.

I think Knob Creek was the first whiskey I ever sipped. Nothing like a good throat burn! I have no idea what kinds are even out there. I usually order whiskey if I’m out socializing, so it’s probably just Windsor.

Thanks Steve, but I’m a light-weight….and pretty much dry. I’ll have a sip of something I cook up for Ma and will also have a glass [small though] of the wine I make. Our drunken peaches and drunken strawberries I have a wee bit of but not much. I’m content with my Sharps or ODooles Amber….or a pepsi.
