Mocking up my clam console. Insights would be helpful.

Any thought on how I can add to this, change it, or scrap a poor design would be appreciated. Here’s what I have so far:

Catch cover wall plate to a modular camera mount
Ram ball/arm for my gps/elite 4 mapping unit
    Dpst switch to sled lighting
Ducer arm for if I ever use the Lowrance for anything but mapping.

Convenience is key, along with fast setup and take down.

I have to ask, Why do you want a GPS on Clam Console?. I keep mine on the side x side or snowmobile.

Gimp, I think that is a camera and a Lowrance unit?

I use the gps on the Lowrance in summer on the kayak, and mark structure/hotspots. I was thinking that when the console is stowed, I could turn it forward facing on the ram ball to see where to walk the sled during early ice. It’d also be a good fallback if I got sick of marking with the camera. Down the road when I get an ice machine, I’ll mount it there, but for now, I’m hoofing/driving it.

Room for a 12 pack, or some shots in the tub!
