Fished White Water on Saturday the majority of the old honey holes are gone, but a few remain. It is like fishing a new stream. I caught a few nice trout in the short time I was out. #16-#18 hares ear & hares ear flashback produced the most fish. The stream was fairly clear. Some nice fish made it through the floods which is promising!

were you fishing the main branch? after 15 years of fishing I have to start all over again and was hoping the main branch had a few survivors but I know all my honeyholes are gone now.where do you suppose all the hatchery fish ended up when crystal springs was destoyed? I am hoping they are on the loose and hungry when I get there.

I was fishing the main branch. Hopefully the fish from the hatchery made it to the streams and not lying on dry land! Some I imagine are cruising the the Mississippi!

Have any of you guys snuck a peek at Beaver Creek near Elba yet? I haven’t been down there in a couple years but, I used to manage some nice Brookies outta there.

Whoever is making the venture to southeast Minnesota this weekend, should have a variety of plans for the water. i drove through the WW this afternoon – dirty already with more rain and snow on the way. Cool temps (low 30’s for towmorrow), and low temps on Saturday as well.

Good luck and stay warm – you will probably need both.
