Looks like a lot of fun Dave! Were they taking top waters or were you using streamers?

    Thanks!

Stramers, and only one pattern – Zoo Cougars.

    Garvi,

I did a Google search on “Zoo Cougar fly” and got several good hits including pictures. It appears to be a Muddler minnow variant: Deer hair head, feathers behind.

If you want to watch it being tied, go to YouTube and type in “yellow streamer.” Kelly Galloup demonstrates how to tie this pattern.

I have varied his original a bit, but if you tie flies, we all do this anyway.

It’s been a hot fly for smallies.
