Fished a Fillmore County stream Saturday afternoon and found instant and nearly constant success. When all was said and done around 15-20 browns came to hand ranging from 9-13″. Toward the end of my outing I wasn’t paying attention to my lure which was hung up on the surface and when I looked up I watched a very nice brown surface and then disappear next to my lure. DANG!! Oh well, it was a great afternoon to be on the water!
Saturday was a very nie to be on the water 
. The stream flows all throughout Fillmore and Winona Co’s are in very good shape. I was on the Root last night, and that thing is certainly as strong as I have seen it in a long while (keep in mind strong flows while not being filthy either).
I threw buggers (a fly fishers way of spin fishing…sort of) and caught a half dozen trout, mainly on a new pattern I’ve been tinkering with that has a pearlescent lateral line down each side of the fly.
Light Hendricksons are not far….
