Not to step on or interfere with Jim’s “trout days” event in the park, I’d like to tell all about Preston’s 18th annual Preston trout days. The celebration started quite large but has been scaled back to a parade, softball tourny, car show. dances, some great food, and fishing contests. It’s the “kid’s” fishing contest that has really grown. The organizers of it have done a fantastic job with it. They get “prizes” from many major tackle companies along with companies such as Cabela’s and Gander Mountain. The DNR stock some rainbows in Camp creek and the kids go crazy. 12 and under is the age limit. Preston Trout Days May 17th usually starts around 9:00 am. Adult starts Sat morn. early till about 4:00. pre- register best. Fun Time!!!
