Gribben Creek?

Anyone on here fish Gribben Creek by Whalan? I am going to be back in Fillmore County next weekend, and might as well do some trout fishing while I am there. I normally fish the South Branch of the Root, but that is too much of a zoo for the first few weekends after the opener. I am thinking of giving Gribben Creek a try, since it is an artificial-only stream, and supposedly holds brookies, which I have not caught in years. I see that it is not often stocked, so I am curious about how many fish are in there.

I hope you own an “A” game for Gribben . Gribben is a crystal clear, heavy brush and overhead cover stream with lots of fish. However, seeing as it has marginal depth and has kind of gone to pot in terms of habitat in the last ten years, that makes it even tougher to fish. I have no idea as to what means you’re going to fish it with, but it is challenging to say the least.

I normally don’t talk stream specifics online, but since Gribben is a stream I would call marginal at this point, then I’ll respond.

Thanks for the info–all I need to know is that there are some fish in there. Knowing that, I will figure out how to catch them myself.
