I had some free time yesterday so I ventured down to whitewater to do some afternoon fishing. To my surprise the fish were very active.(well for the time of year that is) I started out throwing a very small gold spinner and the fish seemed to like it. My buddy was throwing a medium sized silver spinner which the fish also liked.
We fished about a mile stretch in about 2 hours and hooked 10 fish. Seeing many others and losing a couple. The biggest catch was a nice 14 inch brown. The majority were browns with I think 2 rainbows. Most of the fish were big being in the 11-13 inch range and only 1 under 10. The bite is really starting to pick up and this is the prime time to get out in the couple weeks before the season opens.
GOOD LUCK TO ALL THAT VENTURE OUT
