I’m going to fish Whitewater State Park this weekend.
Any fellow fly fisherman been down that way?

It’s clear, gin clear. Water levels are fair (I think a bit low, personally). Basic nymphs will work well (scuds, hare’s ears, PT’s, pink squirrels). I’d trail midge emergers or midge larvae, and be certain to have a few black midge dries as the midge hatch has been good when it’s been warm enough (like today).

Long leaders, fine tippets, and a quiet appraoch are important in these kinds of conditions.

32 for a forecast on Sunday. Stick to banker’s hours. It wouldn’t do you any good to be on the water until things warm up a bit.

Nothing to add, other than that’s one heck of a great reply D.A. I’d like to venture down that way a couple more times this year.

Thanks a lot for the info. I’ll put it to good use.
