Wondering if any of you were willing to share your tips for fishing tricos this summer?

Also, I’m not asking for GPS coordinates or anything, but any info on fishing the HEX hatch would be much appreciated as well.

Hex is a good warm water hatch on the Mississippi, but not so much in southeast MN (Wisconsin streams, yes in places).

I ran into tricos starting about mid-July pretty far south. Last summer wasn;t overly warm, so the hatch wasn’t great. I fish small black PT;s and cdc emerger type stuff before the risers really get going, then a basic trico dry with the bottom trimmed off to give the fish a spinner appearance, some straight up spinner patterns tied with gray or white poly-pro in #20-24, and some sinking trico spinners tied with black wire.
