Just thought I’d give a head’s up to the fly anglers. I had clients out on the water on Saturday south of 90, and we ran into an abbreviated caddis hatch after the rain stopped in the early afternoon hours. It was not long in duration, literally a half hour to 45 minutes of rising fish. However, I turned over some rocks and found lots of caddis still in their cases, so this hatch should continue to keep going for a while yet. Size wise, we fished #16 gray caddis, but chances are that you’ll run into more tan bodied flies as the season/hatch progresses.

    Take care,
