No problem. A fly swap is where a group of tyers tie a pattern of their choice and send them to one designated mailing address. This person is called the swapmaster (that would be me) and then distributes the different pattersn to everyone who submitted a pattern; however, you do not get your own pattern back. It’s a fun way to see what other patterns and variations are being tied by other anglers.
I’ve done it for five years – it’s a good way to build connections, see patterns, as well as break the doldrums of the winter. Fly swaps are fairly common throughout the fly fishing community.
