Taking a quick head count for how many will be fishing the MN river Sat night for Moore’s contest or just out to have fun?
A word of note. The barges usually don’t start running till sundown. If I’m in radio range I will give them a heads up that there might be boats in the area fishing the contest.
Looks to be a nice night for catten….

Dave W. and I will be out. Looking to try further down river than we’ve ever been. Downriver from Shakopee anyhow…just gotta find a place to launch. Any suggestions??? Not real familiar with that area…was thinking of launching at Hidden Falls, but that might be quite a boat ride.

What launches DON’T you need a state park permit to use??

If your fishing from shore. 16,68,69 sometimes. I’ll put out an all call on those channels through the night.

Its a haul from Hidden falls to anywhere on the MN when the water is lower…. Keep a close eye and take it slow at night.
    Good Luck

    Thanks!

May have to try to find the 35W ramp. What side of the river is it on…North or South?

    North side.

Chris and I won’t have to worry about barges.

Audemp and I will be on the river somewhere, with our luck you may want to warn the barges of our presence. We (unfortunetly) have been known to ram things at night. We might put in at Belle Plain and use our drift

IT was nice fishing Sat. Had a couple nice cigars, a fire, and some fish. Nothing big but it was fun. Also fished the mississippi a bit first so I could watch the aquatennial fireworks
