Mn River fishing in southern Mn

I have been reading all the posts this morning and I think I found a place to call home! Looks like a great message board to belong to. over the last 5 years I’ve done nothing but river fishing….mostly channels…..very interested in trying out flatheads in the Mn river. Anybody out there fish the stretch between mankato and Belle Plaine before?
Like I said this will be new for me, and all the hints, tricks and know how that you guys can throw at me would be fantastic! I hope to someday soon hook into a nice size flathead. When is a good time to start fishing flatheads? Is now to soon?

I fish the henderson area quite a bit. It is a great area and you should eventually run into some fish. Right now is a bit too early. Depending on what the weather does arround the start of May is when the flatheads start to get going on the minn.
